Why does Dictando need microphone access?
Dictando uses the microphone to capture speech for dictation. Voice input cannot work without it.

Quick setup
- Open Dictando and sign in with Apple or Google.
- Allow microphone access when Dictando asks.
- In iOS Settings, add the Dictando keyboard.
- Turn on Allow Full Access so the keyboard can complete network-based dictation.
- Optional: turn on Background Voice Mode in the Dictando app for faster keyboard starts.

Email contact@dictando.app from the address connected to your account. Support is handled by email, and the reply will go to that address.
Include your device model, iOS version, Dictando version, the app where the issue happened, and the exact step that failed. Do not include sensitive dictated text.

Common questions
Why does the keyboard ask for Full Access?
Full Access lets the keyboard communicate with the Dictando companion app and use network-based AI processing.
Why is the orange microphone indicator visible?
When Background Voice Mode is on, iOS shows the indicator while Dictando keeps the microphone ready. Audio is uploaded only after you start dictation.
Where does my dictation go?
Dictando sends audio and transcript text to Groq to transcribe and clean the result. You must allow this processing in the app first.
How do I stop AI processing?
Open Account in Dictando and revoke AI Processing Consent. Uploads stay blocked until you allow processing again.
How do I delete my account?
Open Account in the app and tap Delete Account, or use the account deletion page linked below.
Does iPhone include Dictando Pro?
Dictando Pro is sold through Apple in-app subscriptions where available. The app shows current price, renewal period, and trial terms before purchase.
How do I manage or cancel Pro?
Open Account in Dictando and tap Manage when Pro is active, or manage subscriptions in Apple Settings for your Apple ID.
