Privacy Choices
The current iOS build of Dictando gives you a small number of direct privacy controls.
AI processing consent
Before Dictando uploads dictation audio or transcript text to Groq, the app asks for explicit permission.
To revoke that permission later, open the Account tab in Dictando and turn off AI processing consent. After that, Dictando blocks dictation uploads until you allow processing again.
Microphone access
You can revoke microphone access in iOS Settings for Dictando. If microphone access is denied, voice dictation and Background Voice Mode do not work.
Keyboard Full Access
You can disable Full Access for the Dictando keyboard in iOS Settings. Without Full Access, the keyboard cannot communicate with the Dictando companion app or complete network-based dictation.
Access, export, correction, and deletion
To request access to the account data we hold, ask for correction, request export, or request deletion, email contact@dictando.app.
You can also delete your account directly from the app. See Delete Account.
Tracking
The current iOS build does not use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking. There is no separate tracking opt-out toggle because Dictando is not using tracking in this build.
